View Full Version : Anyone UT local have a RD I can borrow?
SehrSchnell 09-27-2004, 11:08 AM Anyone here have a Radar Det. I may borrow for Th, Fri, & Sat. ? I'm doing some research and development on detection units. I'll take full responsibility of anything happens to it. Or better yet, anyone have one for sale? Like a V1?
I have two Yamaha rds, one is a 400cc and the other 350cc. :devillook Sorry, Johnny im just a post whore. :confused

I've owned RD400, RD350, RZ350.
RZ350 = more extra metal bits in leg.
and water cooled. :redspot

NO NO NO! SCHNELL SCHNELL! They don't make water cooled radar detectors! :shifty
black325isgirl 09-27-2004, 11:32 AM So if we are to participate in this 'R&D' do we get to know how our RD does? :devillook
chmdrm 09-27-2004, 11:43 AM The metal bits in my knee and foot are not water cooled either.
The RZ could not keep the front wheel on the ground at any speed.
Little and fast, they just dont make them like that anymore. Everyone has to have a 1000 cc sport bike that they will only be able to use 20% of its potential. :rolleyes
What came off the bike and went into your knee?

The road!
Bike pinned my leg to the ground while we slide. Metal bits were used to rebuild my knee and ankle.
I don't think the bits came off the bike but they might of.

Im still having a hard time figuring out how I am going to mount one of YOUR motorcycles on my dash and detect radars :dunno
jteef 09-27-2004, 01:31 PM I have a V1 I could loan you in exchange for the results of this test :)

I have a decent Escort model. If you are doing comparisons, it might be useful vs the V1. Let me know if you need it.
chmdrm 09-28-2004, 12:04 AM Maybe it I ride in the back we can see if my knee hurts when you hit a speed trap?
Good thinking Geoff, that makes all the sense in the world. :D

XFACTOR 09-28-2004, 07:30 PM Why bother there will be no one to help test it between here and there..
SehrSchnell 09-30-2004, 02:44 AM Oh, i'm sure there will be. Got hooked up with one (RD). Thanks for the offers anyways.
black325isgirl 09-30-2004, 10:25 AM Do you still need a helmet?
