I was going home late last night and I had just got off 93 North and got on to rt 125. In front of me at the exit was an IS300...going way too slow, so right after the exit [we both had merged] I get on the left lane of rt125 and pass him. Now I'm supposed to switch back to the right lane because up ahead was a red light, and the left lane was for left turns only. I see a new SC430 [hardtop convertable with back seat big enough for 3 year olds] sitting at the light on the right lane. I figured, it was late, and the road continues two lanes anyway, and both lights turn green at the same time, so I just stayed on the left. I never came accross a Lexus SC 430 driver that ever races so I didn't think much of it.
Light turns green and I get a good launch not thinking much [just practicing my launches] and before I know it, the SC430 floors it :eek: My right foot went all the way down as soon as I heard his V8 engine start to roar, I had a good half a car on him when we started and he was not gaining any while I was in first :redspot Then I quickly shift to second at 6400 and POS traction control kicks in and I feel my car slow down :mad and at this point he got nose to nose with me...kept it floored in 2nd not giving up and again at 6400 quickly threw it into 3rd, again, traction control :mad :mad But then looked back and he had shut down. So I shut down as well and he gave me a quick highbeam, and I threw on my hazards for a couple of flashes and he highbeamed again...He was all done, didn't want any more, so I just continued home.
It was a fun race, didn't realize how fast my car is until this race, I was very impressed! :D
