Anyone know how to install the exterior door handle on an e36? I tried the following the instructions from this thread

and can't seem to find the "slider" that latches the handle in place. Bentley says to use a hook device to pull on the slider mechanism (very vague instructions). If anyone is local (Irvine area) and knows how to do this, please help me out! I'll buy beer!

First off the Slider is the biggest PITA to slide in either direction. I ended up soo aggravated I just took the door panel off inside and slid it with a screw driver from the inside, so much easier if your willing to take off the panel. Soo much work for a dyam door handle trim. But yeah I'm down to help if you wan't to do it that way. Just let me know, I'm in Irvine.
