I just bought a 93 525 with 130k miles. I know the original waterpumps were plastic. Is there any way to tell if the waterpump has been replaced? What should I look for? Thanks.

I've heard of problems with the metal ones coming loose on the shaft sometimes, but never seen it. Your best bet is to replace the thing before it's a problem. grecobeemer 09-17-2004, 09:28 PM Yeah, I'd go ahead and replace it. Does'nt take much in either cost or labor to DIY. theDogger 09-17-2004, 09:44 PM If you have 130k on the car chances are that it has been replaced already My 2 Cents theDogger |
