I just became a BMW CCA member and I have a local Auto X event coming up. I can't find any information on what to bring. Helmet, money, proof of membership. I live in the bay area and the event is in Marina, CA on the 26th of Sep. Does anyone know anything? thanks!

Proof of membership, cash (or check), and a car that will pass tech. I believe helmets can be loaned out, but I don't relish the idea of using some stinky sticky helmet that has been on the heads of God knows who...

I have ran with BMWCC Golden Gate. I agree with above.
Make sure you bring a jacket, sunscreen, hat. The weather is usually nice, but can get cold and or windy.
Great group of people....you will have a great time. You usually get 6 runs, plus lunch if you pre reg.

PLENTY OF WATER!! Seriously, you can get dehydrated standing outside all day. Be sure you have plenty of fluids. You should also make sure you have some kind of salty snack with you. I got a case of electrolyte depletion at an autox where I was drinking plenty of water.
I'm not sure about BMW CCA, but for SCCA autox, the tech inspection involves:
Checking the throttle return spring to be sure the throttle does not stick
Checking the brake pedal for firmness
Making sure the battery is securely mounted
Making sure there are no loose objects in the car or the trunk
Checking the wheel bearings for excessive play
You will want to increase your tire pressure for the event. I recommend you take an air pump or compressor with you. Some people just stop at a service station close to the event to pump up the tires. Also remember to bleed down the tires beforeyou drive home.
Have Fun!
