Hey all, heres my situation:

I need new tires BAD, my right rear S-02 has a tire defect; a strip roughly 7 inches long and 1 inch wide on the inside of it and my MXXX3 on the drivers side front has a nail and a screw in it.

I have a decent amount of cash to spend. I would REALLY like to skate by and get the Yokohama A520 all the way around, but I have the "Highest Quality" bug and am having a tough time NOT buying the S-03.

Are the S-03's THAT much better that I would be doing an injustice to myself and my car to not have them on (For commuting, no track events yet) or would the Yokohama's be okay for a year until I scrounge enough for the S-03's.

If you really want the S-03s, I would find a way to get them now. From what you say I don't think you'll really be satisfied with any other tire...since you say that buying a520s would be "skating by".

Bob,

I couldn't agree with you more. The S-03 is an amazing tire. All of the dry grip of the S-02, wet grip is superior to any street tire currently on the market, all in all it's a great package.

Spend the few extra bucks, you won't be sorry.

I will be putting the S-03's on in 2 days. I got them for a great deal at a local tire shop:

$995 balanced and aligned.

P.S. I am waiting to see what Michelin unveils in response to the S-03's, supposedly next year.
