I've realized that this is a great place for random extra advice when it comes to stuff other than cars. I know a lot of people go to off-topic to talk about this stuff, but I find that the GA is better b/c I actually know some of you. Ayways...to the topic at hand...

So I had the post a few weeks ago about great places to take a date. I must say, it worked great. Front Page News is my new favorite resturant in Atlanta (I'm a cajun freak). In any case...

Long story short, stuff didn't work out between her (A) and I. There was no spark. Nothing's going to happen between us. But we're good friends now. The twist:

Her suitemate sets my world on fire :alright :help

For those who have seen the Seinfeld episode with "The Roommate Switch", save the manage-a-tois answer to this question:

Is the suitemate (L) switch possible without the roomie (A) getting pissed off or the suitemate (L) not "getting with me" if she things it'll make the first suitemate (A) sad or something?

Should I just come right out with it or pursuit the suitemate (L) cooly and calmly to feel her out?

Thoughts and suggestions welcome. Or if nothing else, this will the 2nd installment of will be many, many installments :)

Cheers!

Randy

confront 'A' and hint at the possibility of getting to know 'L'.

You could also wait until 'A' has someone else (either play that cool or tell her you wanted her but now she has a bf so she wont be upset with you)

or dont date either and make both of them your friends with benefits :D

Were you getting any signals from the roommate? What was the extent of the relationship with the other girl before it became evident that "things weren't going to work out"?

I would try to get to the roommate through other mutual friends that you can trust to keep it hush, hush...especially if they are in the same circle of friends with the roommate. They can get a feel for the situation without you looking like the bad guy.

Don't think too much about it is my advice. You're dealing with women here, and women are harder to predict than the position AND velocity of a subatomic particle(*cue the shrunken heads of all UGA grads exploding*). ;)

Seriously though, if you spend all your time trying to come up with the perfect plan, you're going to act and then the whole thing is going to unravel before things get started. Just be natural and go after the girl you like. If girl A really has such a hissy fit over it, then I suggest you just avoid her. Follow your instincts and things will work themselves out, and above all else - strike while the iron is hot!

"If you like this girl so much, why don't you just, ask her out?"

Everything comes full circle to Office Space. :D

Do whatever it takes to maximize your chances for action!

If A isn't interested or it won't work out, feel free to go for anybody.. even roomates. Don't hesitate to be a dog! :D

Old joke time: Heisenberg is pulled over by a cop. Cop walks up and asks him "Do you know how fast you were going?", to which Heisenberg replies "No, but I can tell you where I am."

Could it be that you have all missed the obvious, why not date A and L!

Happy times for all!
