JoeBimmmer 03-18-2002, 01:35 PM Quality of the stuff I've gotten from them is high to very high. Prices are medium high to high. You know the old sayin' 'tho . . . . "Ya gets whut ya pay for". I kinda like their "kits" for detailing and such... makes it easier than going outto buyeach individual piece... they also sell some great storage solutions and effective shelving... I will be sending an order soon. SilverStreak 03-18-2002, 04:00 PM das, consider this another huge endorsement for Griot's products and services! Great stuff, it ain't cheap, but it's great stuff, and very innovative products if you read thru their entire catalog too! Jeff P 04-02-2002, 01:13 AM I'm with Dane, their stuff is absolutely AWESOME! I have been using their product line exclusively for 3.5 years now and I have yet to be disappointed! YES, they are a bit on the pricey side but you can't beat their quality and customer service. Get this... I accidentally dropped a bottle of their Speed Shine on my garage floor where it cracked and leaked all the contents. I called them up to order another one. The rep asked me why I wanted to order another bottle since I recently ordered the one that broke. I told her what happened and she said that they will IMMEDIATELY send out another bottle. She said we have a 100% product guarantee and the plastic bottle should not have cracked. I was stunned. The VERY NEXT DAY, the new bottle was delivered at NO CHARGE. That is the way to win over customers for life!! jsp98m3 04-02-2002, 01:40 AM Same thing has happened to me. Their 1 quart spray bottles with the primo spray attachments break from time to time at the neck. They send me free ones. They really should improve those bottles.... But the products work at the top end of anything you can buy and customer service IS great. Jeff P 04-02-2002, 01:53 AM jsp98m3 - VERY nice looking ride!!! Where did you get those nice "Angel Eyes" for your M?? vodomagoo 04-03-2002, 09:36 PM there stuff rocks, quick detailer owns it aus 04-07-2002, 02:56 AM Which products do you guys recommend? I'm think of getting the wax but how's the clear interior cleaner or some of the applicator sponges they sell? They're stuff isn't that much when you look at Zymol stuff. cbloysM3 04-08-2002, 09:04 PM anyone use the "boars hair brush"? JLee 04-08-2002, 10:03 PM well, heres my 2 cents...i tried a bunch of their stuff car wash, touch up paint applicator, 3 finger mitt (which is cool), and its all good EXCEPT for the wheel cleaner, i expected it to be much better. i barely cut through the brake dust...in fact i washed my wheels 3 times over 1/2 hour and it never really removed much brake dust i ended up using my spare bottle of Armor All quicksilver and i don't know if its good for the wheels but that stuff cut through it like butter, i just sprayed it off and wiped clean and all was good i hear the meguiars hot wheels is good too jeff BJO 04-09-2002, 09:00 PM their stuff is great, a little pricey, but so is everything that's of high quality. i've used their wax, polish, clay, tire dressing, and car wash. i didn't know that you can call and get a replacement if their bottles break. i should've known about it sooner :( has anybody used their leather care stuff or glass polish? BJO 04-09-2002, 09:07 PM jlee: be careful with some of those wheel cleaners, ie armor all. they contain harsh chemicals and can damage the finish. msellman 04-10-2002, 06:52 AM So far, the only thing I don't like about them is that it takes them 7-10 days to ship stuff. Unlike one of the previous posters, I like the wheel cleaner (more than P21). Then again, I don't let my wheels get that dirty. Plus, I wax the wheels. I like a lot of the accessories for the Porter Cable machine. I've never even seen them anywhere else. I mean there's no finish to damage right ? jeff psk145 04-11-2002, 06:21 PM I also agree Griots stuff rocks. I used thir machine polish kit, and my paint feels like new. I had a sheepskin mitt amd the fur starting coming off, and I emailed them about it. No questions asked, they told me to send it back and they'll replace it. Awesome customer serive and dedication to customer satisfaction babbo 04-21-2002, 10:18 AM Anyone got a URL for Griots? Hyperion 04-21-2002, 10:20 AM Here You Go. Griots Garage (http://www.griotsgarage.com/index.jsp) babbo 04-21-2002, 11:10 AM Thanks Hype :) NicolasW 04-21-2002, 03:17 PM I have a TON of stuff from Griot's, Random orbital buffer, all the cleaners, boars hair brush, wash bucket, polish # 3, best of show wax....the list goes on and on. The first time I did the polish/Wax system (using the paint cleaning clay) with my new orbital buffer I was truly amazed at the paint finish! The car looked stunning!! They also have these microfiber towels and buffing pads which are awesome!! The microfiber dust mitt works wonders on things like flat-screen computers and around the TV. Their customer service is VERY good. I called them up and said I wasn't satisfied with the hand polish because it was hard to remove and they said to return it anytime and they would refund my money. Their prices are a little high but you get a top quality product with customer service that is 2nd to none. Good luck! Wes '95 M3 msellman 05-01-2002, 09:14 AM To add another footnote, I used their clay bay/quick detailer spray last weekend with a Porter Cable. Great results and very fast. SilverStreak 05-02-2002, 10:14 PM I'm seriously considering getting really lazy and ordering their little tiny orbital wheel... :devillook Ken318 05-03-2002, 08:18 PM Originally posted by Jeff P I'm with Dane, their stuff is absolutely AWESOME! The best thing I've seen is the orbital. They demonstrated ona customer's black m5. Man the car had swirls and scratches left and right on the hood, what they showed me and the process of how to use the product I was amazed by their polish and their wax. Also their clay is probably the only real thing I've seen out there. It actually feels like clay compared to zainos bro's and mother's (which are a piece of hard blob). I stand by their products and I'm very happy about it, now only if I had the money to buy myself that orbital and all necessary products to detail my car and remove those swirls. As for wheel cleaners the only I'd recommend is P21S. It's all natural and it won't eat your wheels away, I've used it for almost a yr now and I'm very happy wit it. Does the job right and it's easy too. |
