View Full Version : Eurotunerish TV show produced by me!
Blade929 09-14-2004, 09:45 AM Hey guys. I am going to produce a tuner TV show along the lines of tunervision etc on speed and TNN. I am think about 4 shows per year with several feature cars and a tech tip and maybe something along the lighter side like automotive do's and dont's or something. The show will air on a local cable access channel. I did a good bit of TV producation and film work in college and I don't want my skills to totally disappear.
I already have a local NSX and WRX lined up for the first episode. I also would like to include Team BAR. I was hoping to get some good autocross footage in DV or mini DV from you guys and then shoot a feature maybe on John.
I also need a tastefully modded VW. And possibly one more car. The concept is that I don't want to show to be about the car but more about the people that love cars. I also am looking for a host with some experience and hopefully into cars that is looking for stuff for their reel. I prefer a female do to the fact that guys will most likey watch the show anyway. I do not want someone who has no clue about cars and will just sound like they are stringing words together.
In the future shows I want to do some more BMW's so let me know what you guys think. :buttrock
T///Mac325is 09-14-2004, 09:52 AM c c c can my car be on the show... i live in maryland... PLEEEEASSE!

Blade929 09-14-2004, 03:57 PM Thanks guys. It's going to be on cable access but I will also up load it to ifilms. I want to do the segment on Team BAR in general but maybe sub segment on Doby cause we are part of the VJC posse'. In the future I will be more than happy to involve more people from this board. BMW's from the mid Atlantic are where my heart is but I have to diversify for the show. If anyone knows someone with a nice Audi I can use that instead of the VW. I'm thinking about posting on their board but I would rather use someone that people know personally. I also might do a segment on the meets in Rockville if some guys want to show up for that I can work more people in.

There's no need to get huffy and puffy about it. The pic can easily be resized in any photo program...and while you're at it maybe you want to trim all that blank white space? :llkiss

The blank white space is the wall at Pocono. Huffy and puffy, huh :dunno I'll work on fixing it for you when I get a shot.

Sorry, I thought you were trying to tell me to F'off. I really didn't mean to be high and mighty...but the pic really does take up like 1/2 of the browser window. You don't have to fix it just on MY account but thanks for being considerate :smiliecap

Personally, If it were my signature I'd make it bigger. :D
I have a pic of me passing this slow azz red Vette convertible at Summit Point last year. Let me see if I can find it. :D

If you are correct Scott, you have my permission to drive the Cobra at a DE :eyecrazy

If I had an oil cooler that is in fact where it would go -- the old 427's needed oil coolers -- actually after my performance at pocono i may need one as well. :(

I'd settle for an autox. Triple-digit speeds scare me.

You betcha! Bawk Bawk!
I scare myself silly doing 50 in an autox! People tell me you get used to the speed. Well, that hasn't happened so far.
I bet that Cobra is a good time on the track! More fun than an M3?

It's a lot different -- a lot more raw -- a lot harder to drive fast -- but really fun
(note I only made about 5 laps before the overheat so this is s first impression)

Cool! There is a guy in Northern New Jersey that autocrosses a cobra. (I have not gotten close enough to it to see what kind.) He runs in ASP, makes a really cool noise doing it, and looks like he is having a blast.
Smokin' car, dude.

Summit Point is a cool place. I've been there for the last two runnings of the SCCA 12-hour enduro. Unfortunately, my weekends are booked solid through November. :help
