No. Other members have reported that the Griot's clay is pretty mild compared to other brands.

Probably not as abrasive (if that is the correct way to describe it) so requires more passes to clean surface perhaps?
Good to your hands too. j/k lol

The only one i could find around here at a normal auto supply store was meguiars, it came with a bottle of quik detailer in it to keep it lubricated (that's what it says on the instructions) I think i paid like 7 or 8 bucks for the box which is good cause a bottle of quik detailer was about 5 bucks by itself.

I just use soap, works just as good. :)

I use claymagic and can't think of a reason to change besides to just try something new. You can use a soap and water mix in a spray bottle as lube. This is wha i've been doing but it does cause my clay to come apart alot quicker.

It depends partly on how frequently you park your car outdoors. I have to park my car outdoors at work, so I have to clay the car each time before waxing. If your car is parked indoors for most or all of the day, then you may not have to clay as often.

Geez.... my car is out door over nite... (i'm from down under)...
i got to try it! is it hard, or is it advisable for a newbie detailer?

It's not hard at all. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, do one 2'x2' section at a time, and use plenty of lubricant (soapy water or a quick detail spray). Knead the clay into a fresh patty every time you start a new section, and pluck out any grit that gets trapped in the clay.
