I have five of those Alba rims and caps, along ith good tires. Someone offered me 900 for all five

Think I should take it and just go back stock with the 390's?

I saw a 735 with them last night, it didnt look anyworse. I could put on some new 390's for about 350, and use the other $550 for rebuilding the rear suspension...I want other rims, but the alabas are so ugly, i almost think the stock ones look better. At least if i go turbo, it would be one hell of a sleeoer :redspot

More info needed.

The 390s are the TRXs, correct? Can you still get them, and if so, for less than $100 each?

What are the Albas worth? What size are they?

Frankly, for $900, you should be able to find a pretty nice set of new or barely used 16s/17s (pick your style) and be good to go.

Don't compromise of tires/wheels with the TRXs, or you will be looking to dump those in another 6 months...Do one section of the car at a time, and do it in a way that you can live with for a while.

Just my $0.02...

Oh, I should have included that I have the 390's, they came with the car, all five, I can post pics tommorrow. Allegedly, the Albas went for about 1650 for all 5, so over 300 apiece wheels and tires. Tires, due to rear camber problems, are wearing fast, i need to rebuild the back suspension, and get new tires.

Theres been a lot of hating on my rims lately, from the forum. The local ethnic group seems wuite fond of them, though. The 390's with tires are about 7 pounds lighter, so there may be a lsight performance gain..tellyou what:

Wednesday, i will post pics both ways

You can get a set of stock E38 16s rims very very cheap... and kumhos for 100 a piece. Not sure if they fit right...I know they fit on my E24 no prob.

Good point.

I sold my stock 16s earlier this year for $475. Wheels were in good (not great) shape and were round (not bent). Tires had at least another 20K miles on them...

23mm.

What is stock for your car (maybe 20mm) and what are your Albas? BTW, I think of that dry, crunchy toast when I hear that name...
