View Full Version : Utah September Meet
EricZ 09-03-2004, 10:47 PM I would like to invite all of you out to a multi-club meet on Saturday, September 25th at the West Hill Pavilion of Sugarhouse Park (1300 East 2100 South). It's going to start at 3 pm and we'll have a BBQ and a show 'n shine. Our goal isn't to have a bunch of show cars there, but rather to see everyone's clean street cars. This is the second year I've organized this meet, and since last year there was such a big showing from the BMW crowd, I thought I'd be sure to invite all of you again. This year it's sponsored by OCDetails rather than Autopia. We've made some improvements from last year too. Those of you who attended last year probably noticed 1) it was called a BBQ, but there was no BBQ present and 2) judging took forever. This year, both problems have been solved. We will have a grill there (BYOM) and judging will be based on participant voting rather than judges. I think we've all been to car shows that get dragged out for hours, and I believe I have remedied that problem. Last year we had a great turnout, and I'd like to see that happen again. Anyway, let me know if you guys want to come out, or if you have any questions.
Here's a few pics from last year's meet:

:lol I think this is the car I always see on highland by Bengal Blvd. It has an //M3 badge. lol
euro4life 09-21-2004, 10:38 AM Maybe we should make Saturday's run again...
I was actually thinking of doing it myself. Not sure who else would want to drive that far again. It's either that or this other canyon... I'm going to check things out this week and see which is worth driving. I may setup another East Canyon drive where we head up and turn around.
I'll have to make another thread. Sorry for the hijack.

I should PM him and ask him when they started making 4 door E46 M3's. That's as bad as a type-R badge on a usdm civic.

Jedi801 09-21-2004, 10:48 AM apparently you're not supposed to pass on the double yellows.
euro4life 09-21-2004, 10:52 AM Thats not what I heard.
:paranoid:
Thats just something stupid cops say to make themselves feel better.
:D
Those lines are just guidelines for old ladies. I pay my share of taxes, that allows me to use all of the road if I want. El Marko is not confined by lines.

Dude, I'm getting you an El Marko Cape, then you'll be more official!
Excellent, I need a motif and a weapon, any suggestions?
black325isgirl 09-21-2004, 11:53 AM Excellent, I need a motif and a weapon, any suggestions?
Not sure about the weapon, but you should totally wear a turban like your av... :stickoutt
I should work on the brigham young beard too. This plan is comming together nicely, Melissa.
black325isgirl 09-21-2004, 12:07 PM We need some P-shop magic so you know exactly what you're going for...
Sadly, I'm not far enough up the totem-pole here to actually have it, so someone else is gonna have to help out...
12:03 09-21-2004, 12:08 PM I say get an AR-15 as your weapon.
Johnny can one be shot from a moving M3?

Are those real brakes or the stock ones painted red?
12:03 09-21-2004, 01:06 PM I think they are stock painted.
:eyecrazy
but I cant be sure
Jedi801 09-21-2004, 01:09 PM Are those real brakes or the stock ones painted red?
I'm guessing they are the stock ones painted red. I eman he wants everyone to think his car is an M3 why not make them think you have Porsche brakes too?
chmdrm 09-21-2004, 02:50 PM Cool. I guess spending 3 grand on brakes is out. All I need is some red paint.
black325isgirl 09-21-2004, 02:52 PM Ok http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v283/superr5/n.jpg
Hello people! How has this pic been up so long without being modified! :help

black325isgirl 09-21-2004, 03:11 PM I have opened myself up for much abuse today. :D
You are SO lucky I don't have P-shop right now... :stickoutt
chmdrm 09-21-2004, 03:25 PM Well someone must be able to help make him pretty!
euro4life 09-21-2004, 03:44 PM Are those real brakes or the stock ones painted red?
They say Brembo on the fronts.
euro4life 09-21-2004, 03:51 PM Since I just recieved a whole lot of free time, I'll see if I can find the pics I took. I thought I had some up close pics of the brakes. I am 99% sure they are a Brembo aftermarket kit.
SehrSchnell 09-21-2004, 04:39 PM Ok, some quick ones since i'm at work!
SehrSchnell 09-21-2004, 04:39 PM Anotha!
euro4life 09-21-2004, 04:41 PM It's no good. All my pics were lost when my hard drive crashed.
black325isgirl 09-21-2004, 05:34 PM Anotha!

chmdrm 09-21-2004, 05:54 PM I wish I had a cape.
black325isgirl 09-21-2004, 05:56 PM I thought that's what the flowing hair was for? :dunno

///Molloy 09-21-2004, 07:09 PM [This is meant to be a compliment.]
Does anyone else think that Geoff reminds you of Dennis Leary in a long-haired kind of way? :dunno
EricZ 09-21-2004, 07:59 PM Well, now that this thread has nothing to do with the show, I'll throw this out and leave it up to you guys. If you can hold off on the canyon drive, I've got one planned for the Saturday after the show. We'll meet on October 2nd at noon in the parking lot of the Kohler's grocery store in American Fork at 5353 W 11000 N. From there we'll head up the canyon and run the Alpine Loop over to Sundance and then go up Provo Canyon to Heber, where we'll have lunch at Dairy Keen. Neither event is BMW-specific, so bear that in mind with your decision to attend.
euro4life 09-23-2004, 02:00 AM Sorry man. Let me put it this way....
Posting a car show in here = posting a car show in the track/racing forums.
We like to drive.
:cool
Some of us like car shows too. Meeting new car people is a good thing. Then driving real fast to the next place; JB to the nearest fish and chip house, El Marko to the nearest bar. :devillook
Thanks for the invite I will try to get over my fear of Utah county and stop by.
chmdrm 09-23-2004, 11:30 AM I don't think I'm allowed in Utah County.
black325isgirl 09-23-2004, 11:49 AM Thanks for the invite I will try to get over my fear of Utah county and stop by.
Wait. What's in Utah county? I thought the show was at Sugarhouse park? :dunno

SehrSchnell 09-24-2004, 10:56 PM steal all thier woman,
Cool! Let me go ask my wife if this is cool! :D
Actually, I have to wait for a door guy to come install a door, who in the hell knows he'll actually show....
chmdrm 09-25-2004, 12:09 PM Leave the wife to wait and then come drive. I'm sure she won't mind.
