I looked at a 2000 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro the other day. The exterior was in great condition, and the interior was perfect. The car looked very good, until I drove it. It had a "clank" or a "thud" when I shifted into 2nd gear. The power was not there, and the car just did not feel right.

I then went and looked at a 1999 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro. THe exterior was as good as the 2000, and the interior was even better than the 2000. I drove the car, and it felt a lot better. It was faster than the 2000, but still slow as a dog. It's a good thing that it is for my wife.

So anyway, the seller is asking 14,900. I offered 13,900 and he accepted it. I told him I would have to think about it. The car has all the options, and 70,000 miles. Is this a good deal? Thanks.

as a UTAH BMW driver I feel that that wouldnt be the best buy ever. Its a little much for the car IMO.

Not just cause I think there isnt anything hotter than a female in Byzanz, but I just think there could be as good of a deal, and maybe a certified one from Audi...

It's not like I am dead set on this car, but I have looked around, Utah mostly, and there are not any other cars cheaper that are the same condition. There is a 99 1.8T that is the same price that I am supposed to look at today, but I think I am going to pass.

Someone show me a better deal.

If its worth waiting a week or so, my roomate works for a dealership and can maybe get the used Audi inventory list w/ pricing. If you are interested let me know PM for obvious reasons. Also if you are willing to travel there are a bunch of used Audi in CO, very popular there.

I just browsed Colorado, Arizona, Southern California, and then the whole country for a 1999-2001 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro 5-speed. I could not find a better deal that what I currently have. I found some similar deals, but they were over 1000 miles away and that just does not make sense.

Ben, if you can find something, let me know.
