I scraped my wife's dashboard with my key. It's right above the glovebox. Is there anyway to buff it out. Armor All and all that other stuff doesn't work because it is a scratch. Can I use a blow dryer or heat gun to melt and buff the thing? Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

What color is her interior?
The reason I ask, I had a friend with a similar problem, key scratched his dash and left a white, ripped up plastic/vinyl look to it on his black dash.
We lightly filled it in with some black shoe cream (versus polish, the cream is like a car wax, apply, let it haze, buff off to a shine).
Anyhow we filled it with black shoe cream, it took out the white look to the scratch, then he buffed it off, then wiped down the whole dash with some no gloss armor all type of product and it's almost as if it wasn't there.
You could see the line where the scratch was from certain angles, but it didn't look like a scratch anymore, if you know what I mean...
