View Full Version : feeler 95 m3 needs motor
BMikeW 08-19-2004, 09:00 PM black on black only 47000 miles near perfect ( besides needing a motor ). I money shifted a few weeks ago and bent all valves and chiped the pistons. I figured before I fixed it I would see if anybody out there was interested in buying it as is. maybe someone who can do the work themselves or somone who has a motor for it. this car is really in great shape. I am located in Erie PA.
djtyau 08-19-2004, 09:18 PM Any Pics?
lem0n 08-19-2004, 09:42 PM How much? Really interested.

I really don't know how much to ask. Do you want to make an offer ?
WhiteM32 08-20-2004, 12:38 AM $6500 and i'll tow it home, pull the motor out and leave me with just the shell and interior/accessories
Rich
PM'd you.
I'm looking for a cosmos M3 and this one is suitable for my next project.
I have $$$ in hand.
Please provide me with your phone number so I can call you. Or just give me a call (anytime) at (778) 882-4639. I'd like to make you an offer after a phone conversation rather than discuss it on the boards.
Or just shoot me an email at: benjiheran@hotmail.com
Also, can you post the VIN and list all the options? A detailed description of the interior and exterior condition would be great.
For example:
luxury/non-luxury?
automatic/manual tranny?
powered/heated seats?
11/18-button OBC?
cruise control?
OEM wing?
CD changer?
tilt steering?
OEM 10-spokes? OEM M-Contours?
etc..etc..
accident history?
maintenance history? (prior to the 'big bang')
etc, etc...
Thanks,
Benji Heran

11.5k opening bid:confusedI believe that's a little high as well, but all the power to him. He'll be set if it does sell for at least that much.
If not, I hope he accepts my offer. (fingers crossed)
lem0n 08-23-2004, 10:44 PM He will need all the power he can get with 11.5k being an opening bid.. Good luck!
:bump:

Mike (very nice guy, by the way) and I had a phone conversation just before he posted the eBay auction. Apparently, a member of his family thinks he can get around $11k for it, as-is. I think it's highly unlikely but you never know. :dunno
Anyways, I made him a very reasonable offer. I hope he accepts it so I can drop this sucker in:
BMikeW 08-24-2004, 04:26 PM thanks for all the bumps.

What do you guys think is a reasonable price for this car?
eh its tough to say... a fair price for the car if everything was working would prob be 15 grand. no engine and having to take the old one out + labor + yada yada.... not 11.5

IMO 6500 is fair given the low mileage.
just picked up a clean title 95 m3 in OH w/no paint work @ 200k mi w/a new s52 obd1 conversion for not much more than $6500 :D
mileage correct 95's (120-140k mi) can be had for +/-$10k easily nowadays.

damn i wish i got a deal like that
OCWHEELWURX.COM 08-25-2004, 12:18 AM damn i wish i got a deal like that
i waited many years for a car like this to surface. never in my wildest dreams did i think i could get one at this price. w/patience and a little luck, you'll score yourself the right car within your budget. crazy deals (crazy as in cheap, not $11.5k for an e36 m3 w/a blown motor) constantly come and go.
oldM3r 08-25-2004, 09:58 AM It is basically going to cost you 10k to put a USED motor in the car, I think that I would sell it as a parts car since, even if you picked it up for $6K, you end up with a car that cost $16k, when you can get one for much less.

Wow, 10k to put a used motor in?! You're gettin shafted. I would figure 6k tops. $3500 for motor, $2500 labor (and even that is high).
I would personally pay only $6.5k or so. Definitely not over $8k, I can find a running one for $8.5k.

...but NOT $10k.
I say BMikeW cuts his losses and sells it to me as-is. :devillook

haha j/kXTNSV sent me a PM about his car this morning. That car is a wicked deal, given the condition. $8500 for a running 95 M3 with some damage due to a break-in? Hell, I've got a passenger-side window in my garage!
Too bad it's Alpine White (I want something different than what I already have), otherwise I'd be all over it.

it's actually going to be for a friend of mine. it needs interior work too so we'll see.
Mike...is it time to reconsider your starting bid price??

You can at least reply or return my phone calls. :bluecryin
You can at least reply or return my phone calls. :bluecryinWhat's the deal, Mike? You promised to update me after the eBay auction. If you don't want to sell the car (to me), then just say so.

Its actually at Apex Motorsports now(pending sale) in the middle of a pre-purchase inspection. If everything checks out ok, the car is mine :redspot

BMikeW 09-02-2004, 08:12 PM Sorry for not getting back to you Benji. After thinking about all my options It makes more sense for me to keep the car. I know it took me forever to decide but this is a really serious decision.
thank you for all of your offers
