View Full Version : Fender rolling in OC SilverBeam 08-17-2004, 05:16 PM ? Need a good place to do this, and what would I expect to pay? uberpanzer 08-18-2004, 03:59 AM You COULD do it yourself, esp if you have access to a heat gun to save your paint. I'll be trying to get the e21's rear rolled at SOME point very soon (hoping this week maybe), so I might be able to give you some pointers. Are the LM's just not fitting right? Don Nguyen 08-18-2004, 12:17 PM Good luck finding one in the gardeng grove/fountain valley area. Most of the ones i went to there didnt even know what i was talking about and the rest just said my car was gonna brake in 3 months orrr there was no way to roll the fenders w/o cracking the paint. dumbasses... active9x 08-18-2004, 05:24 PM Does the fender look flared if you roll them? If so I want to do it for the hell of it. My rears don't rub but they are tucked and too close to the fender for my taste. Soup Nazi 08-19-2004, 02:44 AM Call Autowerkes in Huntington Beach, they know a body shop that does it. Extremely over priced IMO(150 per axle), but hey, give them a call. I rolled mine the old way, using a baseball bat, came out pretty nice. Bimmer Pilot 08-19-2004, 10:13 AM I know for sure that Evosport in Huntington Beach has the roller tool. There should be a bunch of tuner shops local to you that have it. Just let your fingers do the walking and ask if they have a Haweka fender roller in their shop. That way you can shop around for the best price. Allen From another thread... Zimmy330 08-19-2004, 04:23 PM You can try Super AutoBac on Beach blvd and Garden Grove. I saw them rolling the fender of a 325I . I didn't ask them how much it cost. Don Nguyen 08-19-2004, 05:39 PM You can try Super AutoBac on Beach blvd and Garden Grove. I saw them rolling the fender of a 325I . SilverBeam 08-21-2004, 12:12 AM I haven't tried yet, still not sure what to do with the situation. Doug, they fit fine, its the sidewall that's too high. I might just get new tires with a lower profile to try and fix the problem. I'm also hoping that the sways I plan on getting will help th problem, since it only rubs in turns. Active, I do not think that rolling the fenders will flare them. All it does is tuck up a piece of metal under the fender, which tends to rub. psk145 08-21-2004, 02:49 AM there's a shop in HB off beach blvd called Coastline or something. They have a fender roller, they also have a touchless tire mounting machine. I cant remember the website, or find it even in a search. Place is ultra clean and high end. NoName 08-21-2004, 06:48 AM Try asking here. http://forums.vwvortex.com/zeroforum?id=92 I remember seeing post about a "fender rolling party" not to long ago. lol BiMMa b0i M3 08-21-2004, 09:56 PM try bullet performance in costa mesa, they have all UTI/BMW cert. techs there, they pretty much do any type of work, also u can try evosport. I wouldnt trust Stoopid Auto Bacs in Garbage Grove, they only work on rice rockets, and rally cars. they dont know jack ish about european cars. they sell ACS rims and hamann rims but way way way way way over priced. CHAMBMW 08-24-2004, 06:33 PM silverbeam, do anything yet? i have the same problem. damn fuzion tires...if you find any shop that will credit you towards new tires let me know. thanks ELIBEEMER 08-25-2004, 05:08 PM Desperately looking for a fender roller aswell....
