LOL! Its all hand wash. When I have it washed, I have the same guy do it that always does it. I take care of him. The supervisors or greeters know my car and help the guy wash the car and i take care of them. believe me, i know about the nightmare of swirls. the previous owners girlfriend decided to be nice and wash it for him one morning... she didnt know not to use shop rags to dry it... (the rough red ones (mostly used for getting oil off your hands :nono )) But its alright. So in answer to your questions... i usually wash my car myself, but when i do have someone else do it it is done the right way. besides, i know the owner and if there was ever a problem he would take care of it.

after a whole day of slirpping soup and drink clear liquids i can finally say in a normal tone voice i can finally breath...fortunately i was able to conjure up some home remedies off the net and use them to my advantage. Some of of helpful tips include dring warm tea with honey, eating soft foods, and take antibotics and of course get some R&R. I'm not 100% healthy but im at least 75% from my 22% from this morning...but i'll probably take it easy and hopefully i'll see you guys on Saturday.

Hey, I'll be joining you losers. I'll be all alone at this one. Oh well, it is our last free Saturday. :(

i have been having issues with my health provider and for that reason i have not seen a doctor, and they are asking me to pay some rediculus fee, which includes doc. visit plus medications, so until i get that issue squared off its not a solution. So the home redemies have helped a ton. I am able to breath much better, but still not a full 100% and my glands have come down from the swelling tremendously. If I didn't have these issues seeing the doc. it wouldn't be a second choice, unfortunately in this case it is.

OK, so as of right now I AM a maybe since I might have to head up to LA early enough to get a good friend to the DMV to get his d/l back. He has been without it WAAAAY too long, and this is the least I can do for him. And yes, this is a BMW freak I'm talking about.

But if he DOESN'T get everything taken care of with the courts Friday morning, there is no reason to go the the DMV, thus I can delay my LA trip long enough to go to the meet.

I'll be running the wire for my battery relocation in the morning and if I can get the fenders rolled (by me :D ) at some point during the day I'll be bringing the e21.

Anybody wanna help me with this? All I need is someone who can drive stick. I'll be working the baseball bat....

It might be tough getting in anywhere on that short of notice. Most SD shops are booked solid. Apex Engineering might be able to work with you on the AC, and they are a performance shop too!

the good news is i feel a whole lot better, but the bad news is my car is outta comission.

I was coming home from viejas casino from eating dinner with my family and i had my bro his girl and his other friends in my car and the three guys along average a weight of 240+ pounds and then my bro's girl at some weight, so my car is slammed, i had no problems getting over the speed bumps at the outlet but when i was 3 minutes from being parked in front of my house my car hit a tiny dip and i didn't feel it bottom out or scrape, but the next thing i knew i was smelling oil, and i knew within a heart beat to shut down the car. My nightmares have come back a second time. i busted my oil pan, but unlike the first time where the pan was split in two this one was unnoticeable, so i gotta see it when i get it lifted tomorrow, while u guys are driving the canyons...I tried to get a tow truck but for some odd reason 3 of the companies i called were unable to tow tonight, they all said call tomorrow, so being just 3 minutes away my old man decides oh we can tow it behind our e39 528i, and i was like lets just wait and he keeps insisting, my car did not have a tow hook when i bought it and never thought of getting one so my old man decides to tie it to something underneath the car okay wat ever your the mechanic, well it was working just fine and we were almost there and snap the rope breaks and my car all of a suddens feels like something busted...we end up pushing it to a near by apartment complex....wat a headache....so we'll start fixing it tomorrow.

so thats my situation...have fun guys and gals but be safe. Hopefully, i'll see you people the next time around.

And seeing these pics of my car is REALLY making me want to rip the suspension off of the M3 and put it on the 318. I had already planned that, just haven't had the space to do it yet. i ended up going to autobahn in el cajon and getting a used oil pan and i spent only 30 dollars for, but i needed some welding and i only paid 20 for so far after 2 days its running pretty damn good...so fingers crossed i'll see you guys this saturday... :)

thats very funny doug...well u do drive your cars hard but so do i u just haven't seen me balls out yet...but oil pan 1 was when i bottomed out on a 3 inch dip underneath a bridge with no lights and the cop said it was my falled because i was lowered...even stock height would have made a difference with that dip...oil pan two i had 4 passengers, three weighing well over 250lbs. and bo bro was driving and we hit a 1 inch dip with a slight bump at the end and we didn't even feel anything until we all smelt burning oil...so to answer your q? yes, im on my 3rd oil pan...i mean it sits 2 inches off the ground.

doug wat can i do to raise it with out raising the car, should i change the engine mounts or something?

I admit to breaking an oil pan in my old e30, but i did it the manly way, I jumped that sucker.

That's how I busted my motor mounts in my '87 325i that saw WAAAY more abuse than any of you have seen me dish out. Jumping e30's is sooo much fun.....until your motor is meerly 'resting' in the engine bay, no longer attached to anything but the tranny.....

I don't think my oil pan is my lowest part. I measured once and it seemed that my cats were only 4.5" off the ground. Once I bottomed out on a speed bump and it hit my subframe. I was going 1/2mph too and being super careful. I guess that bump didn't care. I wonder if my xbrace will be the new lowest point once I get that installed? I find it kinda funny that my car is probably one of the lowest E36's I've seen and I run 17" wheels. Even with 17's I can still barely fit a pinky sideways between the tire and rear quarter. :eek: But I swear you E30's guys are lower. :confused
