Hey, I have some very hard waterspots on my bimmer that i need to get off.... I've tried everything by hand... all sorts of polishes and cleaners... even ScratchX, nothing works. I need an orbital buffer.

Does anybody in socal have one that I can borrow for like 20 minutes? I would drive to you, of course :)

Thanks,
Peter

Clay bar may work on those, i took off most of them on my friend's car with one.

Sorry, no buffer, but have you tried Meguiars "Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner"? That stuff is pretty good, & it's cheap at only $5 a bottle :D .

yup i tried that, deep crystal polish, scratchX polish, 1z polish, and clay. Clay worked surprizingly well, it got most of them out, but there are still some outlines of hard spots that wont seem to leave.

Glad to hear the clay worked well, but please note I didn't advise on the polish, the product I am talking about is "paint cleaner", different stuff.

if clay doesn't work, mix water and vinigar in about a 30/70 solution, soak a rag in it, and lay it on the water spots. Let it sit, rewet it, lay it on the next area. Then wash the car again, and wax it. Vinigar does remove wax.

sorry I was unclear, I did use the deep crystal paint cleaner as well as the deep crystal polish - they make both... and both are very good products :)
