Hi,

I was hoping that someone can recommend a few good shops in boston or in new hampshire.

I need a place that can do a good Pre-Purchase Inspection on a 95 m3. I am going to be tracking this car a lot so I need a shop that is well aware of the weakpoints in this car.

Can somebody please recommend anyone they have used in the past.

I already know of the heavyweights in the area aka Turner and Bavarian AutoSport but do any of you know of any others? Thanks.

Prasith

A couple I know of are:

Squam Lakes Auto (http://www.squamlakesauto.com/) (Holderness, NH i.e Lakes Region Central NH) <--- I've been to these guys and they know BMWs, they even have a couple E36 race cars, but maybe to far for you to go.

3dAutoWorks (http://www.3dautoworks.com/) (Hudson,NH Southern NH near Nashua) <--- never been here but have heard they are execellent.

Hope this helps

Bavarian Performance Group (http://www.bavarianperformancegroup.com/) is an excellent shop that currently has a team of 2 e36 race cars and extensive experience.

3D is also an excellent shop with tons of racing experience. You will have a tough time getting an appointment as they book a month out usually.

LandShark is a very competent shop and good guys.

You can't go wrong with any of the 3. :)

I use Jim Albright's Mighty Motors in Cambridge/ Somerville Ma. They know their BMW's. They are long time sponsors of the Boston BMW CCA. I brought my M3 to be checked out by them before I bought it. (617) 492-1010.

Dmitry at Alpha Cars in Boxborough is the man and really appreciates M3s.

http://www.alphacars.com/

He is very meticulous and thorough. Used to drive a gorgeous L7 around, and maybe still does.

If you use him tell him Alan sent you.

Edit: looks like he has a 635CSi slushbox for sale.
