Mr Ticket is suppose to be great, but that might only be an SD thing. Not sure though.

What's Mr. Ticket?

My details:

I'm innocent (really... this time...).

I was supposedly speeding(85 in a 65 - at 9 am, I'm barely awake at 9 am... let alone I'm speeding) coming down an incline. Caught by a CHP officer who was already on the side of the road giving someone else a ticket. 10 miles down the road when I'm changing lanes to get off the fwy to my off ramp... bam, lights go off behind me. Has me pull into a gas station parking lot and cites me for speeding... 10 miles ago.

He puts the wrong license plate # (I have vanity plates and he still misspelled it), and messed up my drivers license # (I have the ticket and my failure to appear notice to verify this). So I'm fairly disgruntled and wanted to go the Ticket Assassin route and do a written trial.

Call up the court, request a notice so I may do the written trail by mail. Days pass... nothing. They say not to worry about appearing, that it'll be fine as long as I get it in. Nothing ever comes. I get the failure to appear notice + $250 pursuant fine + hold on license. Appear in court... judge doesn't let me explain anything... just post bail and wait for my trial. Court just gave me the run around and were downright rude.

Blech. Bail...$700+.

I've been licensed for 8 some years... no accidents, no violations, nada. But since owning my BMW I've had more CHP sniffing around than I don't know what... sucks. :-P Need a V1 and a scanner...

well...the first court date is just to state your plea. The next one is where you go, and the cop goes, you present evidence and your case. Chances are if the cop shows up, you will lose. Judges don't like to say cops are wrong in open court, undermines their authority. But if you have a valid case, you should win. Mr. Ticket works wonders, he's gotten me off a few tickets and got reductions on other ones. But he may only do san diego stuff. His website is www.mrdui.com (he also handles dui cases) Mike Mehdy is his name. I have the phone number somewhere. I'll get back to you on that.

I have used Mr. Ticket on several occasions and he has helped out immensly. He's a bimmer fan too. :D I doubt he'll work in LA tho. His edge down in SD is that he knows all the cops and judges. Makes it easier for him to get sh*t dropped or severly lessened.

BTW, his name is Mitch, not Mike. ;)
