First, is there a delay relay or anything for the dome lights? When JFV closes his driver's door, the lights stay on for about 12 seconds or so. That way he can find the ignition at night. Mine go out right away when I close my door. I either don't have a delay switch to keep them on, or it went out. Can anybody tell me where to look for it?

Second, does my car have a feature where I have to push the clutch in to start the car, or didn't BMW use this? I can start my car whether my clutch is pressed or not, and also whether the car is in gear or not. Is this normal?

Check out your button on the door, thats probably broken, does the light shut off when you touch the button? Try it and let us know. As for the starting question, get over it, the citation does it too. its fun to scare people like that!

When I push the button, the light goes out right away. The button isn't broken. There's a relay that controls the delay of the lights when you close the door. I don't know where that relay is. It's either broken or missing, so I need to know where to look.

About the starting thing, it may not be important, but the car shouldn't start without the clutch pressed (unless BMW's didn't use this safety feature). If it's broken, I'd like to fix it.

I think both are normal...some cars had the interior light delay and others didn't. Probably part of some option package. E30's also do not have a clutch safety switch as far as I know.

Great, thanks.

Justin, I have summer high performance tires on there now, I'll need a set of winter tires (which I have already picked out) for the snow.

Maybe you should have picked out some all season tires first! My fix will only cost me 40 dollars, yours will be probably 200 dollars a tire! (Rims and snow tire!)

$107 per tire. I might just get some cheap 15x7 wheels around town, or I may get another set of the Borbets I have now.
