and i think the tensioner may be off. It just sounds like a normal belt noise, kinda of like a bed rocking up an down and the noise the spring makes. Not that loud, but in a rotating continous fashion like that.
Could anything else cause this? no other symptons other than that.
if you just put in new belts then pullies need to be inspected.
I just changed mine yesterday. it was easy and the squel went right away.

It is actually a pretty simple job and all your belts will be under 50 bucks. It is good to replace them every once and while anyhow.
Thanks for your help guys. Like i said the belt had been changed recently, so i checked the pullies. It turns out the upper pully was making the noise, annoying as hell.
Anyway, i wanted to post my results for search users.
When changing belts, check the pullies. New belts will have more tension and in turn it will affect the pullies performance.
any online DIY instructions for changing the belts?
i don't have the URL for pelican parts but i'm pretty sure they have one. One BMW's its so straightfoward though.
