I am glad it's an error. For a sec, I thought I was jipped when I bought my car.

Seriously,

Since I live within a town of them, I called and let them know about the error.

I was polite, but did ask if they knew the S14 had only 4 cyl. They said, "yes." They concluded with "It's just a generic picture."

Makes you want to do business with them... eh?

They may indeed fit, but the kit is properly a M88 or S38 kit.

It also bothers me that they do not show the CR ratio.

Who ever is rebuilding a S14, I surly hope they are not doing it threw eBay.

No surprise to see the Bavarian Auto Recycling banner in that one....lets just say they're not the sharpest tack in the cork-board. I live in Sacramento (Rancho Cordova is a neighboring suburb....about 15 minutes from home) and I have tried doing business with these people twice. Once looking for parts, the other time trying to sell some parts. In both cases I wound up getting the run around. Since then I have vowed to never go to that establishment again.

Sent them a little email from the bay, and this is the reply,
So do I get 4 or 6 pistons? I really like the reply, almost like I don't know what I'm asking.....

same piston is used in the M5 motor and M6. Thus the same picture.

Question about your item

Dear nelsonsbavarianbmwparts,
Are you sure these are for a S14? You know it's a 4 cylinder and not a i-6. These may be for a M88 or S38[I]
