I have been checking out this "goblin green" 96 750 for a few sundays now, and I'm thinking about purchasing it. Although I had found one or two cosmetic descrepencies (broken cell phone compartment lid/lock), and one or two stains on the tan carpet. A salesman quoted a cash price of $14,000, which sounds nice for a V12, but my momma's words about "looking a gift horse inna mouth" keep ringing in my head. So could anyone please tell me what to look for, (or what my mechanic should be looking for) to insure that I'm not gonna be spending 5K right off the bat. I've heard some horror stories about the earlier models (88-90 models), and would rather not have that fate to fall on me. I'm aware of regular maitenence costs, but would rather not be the proud owner of a BML (Bavarian Mechanical Lemon). I'm thinking about test driving in the next day or so, so please help a fella out.
