hi all,
my 92 e34 518!, has develoved a strange noise coming through the speakers!
it only seams to happen at low revs,but when you put you foot on the gas and when the vacumn is reduced, it goes away, it happens wether or not the stereo is on, but only with the engine running.

anyone any ideas??

Are you sure it's the speakers?
Wouldn't make sense if the system is off.

So, check the rear main seal of the engine. Could be you're hearing through the shifter port into the cabin.
Ck other possible vacuum leaks as well, but if you're hearing a somewhat high pitched noise like sucking, that is where I would ck first.
