Sorry if this is a repeat post, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the new Xenon series from Phoenix Gold. It seems to be the replacement for the Titanium series that was very successful for many years.

The new Xenon amp has significant improvements over the old Titanium series, most importantly the Xe.load system that optimizes internal amp power configuration to deliver full power regardless of system OHMS (like the JL amps among others), very nice indeed.

I'm thinking about running my components off of this amp. I'm probably going to run the CDT Audio 6.5 classic components up front, and a 5.25 coax in the rear of my 4dr M3. Any input?

I just know the local shop just dropped PG all together because of this line...

The shop dropped PG Ti for PG Xenon?
Is that what you meant?

I'm assuming that's a bad thing. Can you explain why? It seems that the new amp is quite spectacular compared to the Titanium even... care to elaborate. Anyone else know of these amps?

EDIT... UPDATE

I just found this information on the web:

Windsor Returns To Audiobahn

PORTLAND, ORE.— Phoenix Gold is launching a new Xenon line, shifting its strategy away from the ultra high-end market.

The line is the first to be designed by former PPI engineers Dr. Stephen Leigh, Keith Harbaugh and Dan Borzone since they were hired by Phoenix Gold, said the company.

Phoenix Gold discontinued its Titanium series and most of the Tantrum line, which were at very high price points, upwards of $1,500. Instead, it is focusing on the new Xenon mid-priced and Octane-R lower-priced series, said 12-volt product manager Morgan West.

Doesn't sound too good!

A mate of mine has their big 1100(?) monoblock and he seems happy with it.

I personally stay away from regulated amps.
