Was thinking of how I am going to wire up my system now that all parts are on order and when I got to how/what chan to use for my sub amp (stock head unit) I got stumped...either put it on the same chan as the rears and run a remote bass control or put the frt+rears on the same chan, and subs on the rears alone...so I was wondering, how do they wire up the subs in an HK e46? I don't have HK, but was wondering if there are some wires in the bundle that could be used for feeding the subs?

ususally some of the better headunits have sub outs, but if you dont have one of those run it off the rears. Running it off the rears will leave the quality of mids to bass lacking though.

Right, I know the aftermarket ones do...my question though was how the stock HK setup wired the subs..I'm keeping the stock HU and wondering if there is a sep chan for subs already in the harness or not...it appears no.

You should get a Bentley manual, it will have all of the wiring diagrams and give you the color codes for the wires as well. You're going to need it when you start fixing your car anyway!

Not a bad idea. I've got the diagrams that William used as well as a few others that seem like they'll do the trick. At the rate I get rid of cars, I doubt I'll own it much longer than the warranty will last tho ;)
