Hey now, technically MD and VA are in the South since we are below the Mason Dixon line. :stickoutt
So Ron-you gonna go? Doby won't be able to make it though...

Bremsen 07-28-2004, 11:22 AM Norfolk is over 500 miles from here. About 8 hours. If it were a month later I would probably go (I have a friend in VA bch), but I can't make it that weekend.
It is a cool course though.....I went to a vintage race there a few years ago.

Yeah, I guess that is a hike for you guys... I saw some drivers from GA in the entry list though.
This'll be my first course on concrete (not going to Topeka this year). I won't be driving the 325-I'll be co-driving an M3 in BSP with Hoo-hoo's baby! :buttrock
Ron17 07-28-2004, 12:36 PM I will not be there. Pretty much anything north of TN and NC is "The North" to me.

what's wrong with tha north?
Ron17 07-28-2004, 02:19 PM Oh... I don't know...
It smells. The people are rude. It's cold. The roads suck. The food is not as good. The girls aren't as hot. The peoples' attitudes. The way everything is packed into small spaces. The fact that they think Southerners are stupid. The arrogance of the people. The accents. The way they drive. Toll roads... everywhere. Cost of living.
Shall I go on?
///MZG 07-28-2004, 02:27 PM bah, you just described the east coast. Think west side-the best side.
We don't cop that attitude up here in the PNW. Seriously, you would have to come and see it so you learn the truth. Seattle and Atlanta are actually very similar in size and diversity.
Haven't we been over this?

You just described the states north of PA...
Ron17 07-28-2004, 02:32 PM If you ain't from the following states, you're a Yankee:
GA, AL, MS, LA, TX, TN, SC, NC, AR (please note the purposeful omission of FL)
Actually, I think the Midwest get their own section, because they're something different:
MO, NE, IA, OK

I have lots of family in PA. My statement includes that state...

Nah. The people in PA are really friendly. Otherwise the rest of your statement... :D

Dude, my grandpa can be a dick. But maybe that's cuz he's old.
Old people humor me.
(And they sometimes smell, too)

Old people smell better in the South?

Of course! They smell like Mint Julips down here. ;)
(That was actually more of an aside than anything.)

Never said that we weren't "yankees" but since my state was technically only a territory at the time of the war, I guess we were nothing. I was just saying that your opinions must be based on some bad experience you had somewhere other than here.

Don't forget MD and VA! :D
There are southern accents in parts of MD and confederate flags. :stickoutt
