I have been trying for the past month to find a way to get my dove vaders to look like new. There were a couple options that I found.
1. I could buy the leatherique kit and redye the seats myself. There have been some impressive posts by some members after they did the redye.
2. Creative colors. Independant contractors that I happened to find online. I decided not to go that route after m///miller had a bad experience.
After getting no responses from bimmerforum or m3forum I decided to call the local bmw dealers. They all said the same person. Rob Dahl of Dahl colors. I didn't know what to expect because the process that he said he did sounded similar to that of creative colors but with 21 yrs of experience with bmw, benz, and lexus dealers I decided to give him a shot.
So we set up a time for me to drop off the car.(He even said he would come to my work to take care of it but I opted to meet him up) We went over the whole process and he tells me to come back in an hour. Before I left he tells me to take one last look at my seats. During the whole time I was waiting I was thinking to myself that I should have just bought the kit from leatherique and did a DIY job. Nevertheless, I was a little concerned!
An hour passes. I take a look and I am shocked. :eyecrazy: Shocked because my vaders look mint.(And I'm pretty anal as I know most of you are as well) Better than I could have ever imagined. The results more than surpassed my expectation and at $175.00 for both front seats more than a bargain. I just wanted to share my experience because I know there are many that are in the same position as I was. For those that want a quality job and a great price contact Rob. He's a great guy. All his contact information is on his website. www.leatherdyeing.com. Tell him Dan with the estoril M3 referred you. I know the site is ghetto but the man does great work.
I am in no way affiliated with rob or work for his company. I just wanted to help others that are in the same boat and want to contribute to this forum. Plus I'm excited bc my seats look frkin mint...hahahaa.
