im waiting to get my black gills, and im sure i can figure it out but i figured id ask if anyone can give me a starter tip so when i do get them i know exactly what to do.

SG John 07-27-2004, 12:53 PM im waiting to get my black gills, and im sure i can figure it out but i figured id ask if anyone can give me a starter tip so when i do get them i know exactly what to do. thanks. its actually really easy bro. there are two small holes on either end of the gills along the very bottom.........in between the last slat and the bottom of the actual gill. get 2 long thing screwdrivers and insert into the holes at the same time.........depress them down and the bottom of the gill with just pop out, then just grab it and pull it out..........very easy. as for the new ones, just pop em right in, they fit very snug. did you get them from bimmerfreak? thats where i got my black gills and they look great, nice finish. good luck bro! 333inlinesix 07-27-2004, 01:12 PM its actually really easy bro. there are two small holes on either end of the gills along the very bottom.........in between the last slat and the bottom of the actual gill. get 2 long thing screwdrivers and insert into the holes at the same time.........depress them down and the bottom of the gill with just pop out, then just grab it and pull it out..........very easy. as for the new ones, just pop em right in, they fit very snug. did you get them from bimmerfreak? thats where i got my black gills and they look great, nice finish. good luck bro! thanks alot for your response, yeah i ordered them from bimmerfreak along with the body colored kidney grills with black on the inside. there are way too many e46 m3s by me, so i had to be a little different, i basically got rid of the chrome on the body, but the OEM 19's are so polished they look close to chrome when clean. do you think these black gills and teh grill is going to look good with the shiny 19's? BTW, how long did it take you to get them form bimmerfreak? thanks for the help, its appreciated. |
