Huge misconception, Dinan simply picks up the warranty that BMW gave to you in the first place, Dinan can refuse the warranty claim at any time. There is an act that protects you from dealerships, etc - basically, if something happens to your car such as if you have a aftermarket muffler, and the radio doesn't turn on, obviously its not because the muffer, therefore they must fix/replace your car.

The Magnuson-Moss Act states that your warranty cannot be invalidated by aftermarket components, unless the dealer can prove that the aftermarket component is the reason for the damage.
