FlyingHigh 07-21-2004, 03:46 PM I cut mine with no problems. Reed Hunt 07-21-2004, 03:57 PM I cut mine with no problems. Sure, and then your brake pads started rattling, your tires started wearing, and you needed a new exhaust...! FlyingHigh 07-21-2004, 04:42 PM Well true - except for the exhaust part - but I think the "drone" started kicking in around that time... . DaveClement 07-21-2004, 07:07 PM Slide the armrests forward and you will see a small cover that fills the space on top of the console that was previously under the armrests. Pop this up to access two large black screws that detach the armrest. Slide the entire armrest assembly forward and it will detach from the top of the console. You will then have access to all of the wires where there are connectors to easily unplug the eject box. Where were you when I cut my wires?? :D . silver50 07-22-2004, 08:07 AM for both your answers! tony(topaz,SMG) 07-22-2004, 03:32 PM If you are at all interested in a Bluetooth system, don't cut those harnesses. You will need to use them for the Bluetooth system. DaveClement 07-22-2004, 05:28 PM I believe that the places that people are cutting the wires is between the connector plug and the old eject boxes that they are removing. The result is that the old eject boxes that they are removing will end up with no connector. If they take their armrests off after the wires are cut, I believe that they will find about six inches of wire and a connector that they can either remove and throw away, or solder back on to the old eject boxes. The vehicle wiring harness is "protected" under the armrest and cannot be accessed for disconnection or cutting unless you remove the sliding armrest assembly. |
