We were at the auto-x yesterday and I was complaining about how it would be nice to be able to roll "DOWN" the windows and open the sunroof without getting in the car.

Someone said just hold down the unlock button on the master key and all of the windows will open after about 5 seconds. LO and behold -- it does that...
WAY COOL!

Damn -- any other little useful nuggets?? :stickoutt

most of the stuff is in the Manual, but in case you don't have one, or the inclination check out http://forum.e46fanatics.com and do a search for Easter Eggs.
someone started a thread that collected all sorts of "stuff" that might slip past ones notice.

so fscking stupid though that holding the lock button won't roll them up though!!

Also kind of wish that the button did not open the rear windows. Those things are annoying to close.. takes FOREVER!

There are legal reasons for comfort close not working remotely. Many other car manufacturers adopt the same thing. A little stupid though, since most have anti-pinch protection too.

You can have the dealer program the remote not to open the rear windows but open the fronts and sunroof.

jajja: I'll let you know on wed. after I take it to the dealer for some minor normal e46 type repairs (window regulator replacement, LCM software upgrade, etc) .. might as well have them set it not to open the back windows with the key!
