03X530 07-17-2004, 12:09 PM Lookin good. :buttrock
Get some tints on there and that car will look even better.
What tires are those? Love the mud flaps. :D
Wow! Looks awesome...funny how we have the opposite set-up on the mud flaps :) I have the aluminium running boards with the front flaps only (I have the rear ones as well...but just haven't put it on yet because I thought it would take away the sportiness look of the X). Thanks for the pictures...I always wanted to see how the X look with the rear flaps (not too many people have clear shots of the rear mud flaps....until now!). I would definitely put it on (to save the rear end of the X...especially for those who have fat tires) after seeing your pictures!
By the way...did you use any glue at all for those rear mud flaps per BMW's suggestion? Thanks.

Thanks man :) Sorry, I didn't understand your question? you meant the rim's lip or ?

It's Continental 4X4 SportContact. Front 275/40-20 (20X9.5) rear 315/35-20 (20X11). All followed the BMW factory's data!
The rear tires are really huge when I look at the car in the back.
remiX5 07-17-2004, 08:52 PM nice...i like it. :)

Sorry if I wasn't clear...the rear mud guards/flaps (those plastic trim in the rear wheel well that protects mud/stone/etc...from hitting the rear bumper), did you use any glue at all when you installed them? It's supposed to be held in place with 4 screws and some glue. I'm just wondering if those mud guards will flex and move around if I don't use any glue. Thanks.

Oh I see, those came with factory standards. I also notice that some different X5 from the other doesn't have "rear mud flaps" on. Maybe it's early model? Mine is 2002.
Mud flaps are not factory standards in the States, so I don't see any X5 with them at all. I guessed they are not that useful for you anymore since you got those wide 315s? :) It looks like those rear tires stick out a bit beyond the rear fender. Have you thought about putting on the 4.6/4.8 fender flares?

Yes, you are right. I need the 4.6 or 4.8's rear fender for the big tire size 315. Does it cost expensive for them? Is it separate part or connect to the rear bumper? Thanks in advice :)
They are expensive unfortunately...as you might have guessed. You will need to get new plastic trims that attaches to the wheel wells and the rear bumper.
asnpcwiz 07-19-2004, 05:27 PM It's prrrrr-tty. I likes. For some reason though, those rims just don't look big enough to be dubs though. Maybe it's me. VERY NICE THOUGH, VERY NICE!! :buttrock
Is that Carbon Black? It looks a little blue. Nice truck.

No, it's Midnight blue. Individual model :)
Preppy 07-20-2004, 02:29 PM damn that is sexy. how does the exhaust sound?
asnpcwiz 07-20-2004, 06:05 PM How much was it to paint the bumper to match?? I'm looking to do the same.

I didn't do any paint of my bumper.
Bimmer9938 07-22-2004, 06:59 PM I think the wheels will look better if you lower it .( and look bigger!)
spikey 07-22-2004, 08:11 PM I think the wheels will look better if you lower it .( and look bigger!)
I cannot lower the car, because I have air-suspension on the rear, so the only thing I can do just lower the front :(
JuddsonX5 07-23-2004, 05:09 PM the car looks bitching.
kinda has a cayenne look to it with those wheels.
mud flaps are definately the way to go, how come they aren't in the accessory catalog at my BMW dealer??
- judd
The mud flaps are in the latest X5 accessory catalog BMW sent me. Let me know if you need the part numbers (I don't have the catalog directly in front of me right now).
