Received my MkIV DVD drive tonight and had it installed 20 minutes later. The difference between the MkII and IV is unreal. The widescreen upgrade by itself was really a vast improvement but this new drive really makes it shine and the speed.... I planned a route from here to Los Angeles and it was ready to go in less than 10 seconds. With the old drive it would take 5 minutes to come up with a route across town.

Hmm I better shut up about the speed difference of the MkII now that I have the drive, display, and GPS module to sell...uhhhh anybody looking to add navigation to their car??? :)

I had the same reaction - nice to see factory upgrades like this where the technology improvement is worth the cost.

Although I cringe when I think, "I paid how much to put a new cassette player in the car?!?!?!?!?"

I was thinking of figuring out a way to put the MkII in this E23 or my friend's 2002. Not worth the effort, just to be a bastard and do it to say I did it. :D
