Does anyone know how much weight I could save if I were to buy an E46 M3 w/o navigation, power seats, etc????

What could mess up your plan to buy a lighter weight M3 w/o any options, I'm assuming you're buying a 2005 model, is that I think Ive read all 2005 e46's are coming with a sunroof, prob to cut costs cause most cars are ordered with this option and its the last model year of e46s, dno bout M3's.

This seems to be the general understanding of the forums I've been to anyway. I tried a brief search but couldn't find the dissucusions on MY 2005 changes, but they're around. Good Luck!

Manual seats weight 57lbs, so not much difference.

snook knows... he even knows the weight of the lighter! :)

That surprises me that the manual seats are only that much lighter. I guess if I really want to save weight with the seats I will have to buy new ones....
