So I borrowed an idea from some friends of mine in the GA forum. What they are doing is, they've made some business-like cards and are carrying them around with them to stick on the windshields of fellow BMWs in town.

They are people know about the meets and the regional forum where they get together. I think we should do this. I am talking to people and getting emails but I need some cards so that I can leave em on parked cars.

For this to be successful I think we would need to have more of us posting on a regular basis on here. Maybe to keep a 'welcome Utahns!' thread bumped or somthing...

Sounds like a good idea. We did that for Richard's site (ut3si.org) and got a few more people to sign up. I don't think any of them ever showed up when we met though. :(
The only problem with randomly sticking them on people's windshields is you don't know if you are getting enthusiasts or just people that bought it for the status or looks and don't care...

I think if we use prudence and dilligence then we can spot the cars who are apt to show. Say, M cars for example, are more likely to be 'excited' about the car than a 323 with a child seat in the back. (though NOT always true). Maybe keep and eye for aftermarket parts. Or the cleanliness of the car. These are things that could denote someone wanting to join....

Yeah, there may be some more worthy looking than others, but when I was at the dealership, I saw a guy pull up in an awesome M3, then proceed to ask someone where to fill the oil...

I could possibly put some cards together. They would have to be way cool though. The cooler they are the higher chances of the owner actually taking the time to read it over before tossing it on the ground. Actually, how about somebody else puts them together and I'll just say yay or nay. Yeah, now that I think about it, that sounds like a MUCH better idea. :stickoutt

IMO, it's not very practical to make seperate bimmercards for each individual. Make one card we can have mass produced.

I concur with JB. I did a few individual cards for my club, it was a PITA. It would be much more economical as well just to make a cool card and go from there.

Maybe a full color card with a bunch of small pics of kinda puzzled together and the script in foil or something would be gary gnu. Of course, we would have each pitch in to cover the cost. You have $10 from me to start.
