Basically, a E38 wheel/tire combo, does anyone have it on their E34?
Any rubbing, problems, etc?

I think the overall diameter might be too big. :help

Just visiting from E38 land.

I sold my stock 16" basketweaves to an E34er a couple of months ago.

16x8s with 235/60-16s. No problems.

that's about 6.4% larger (27.1" vs. 25.5")

You probably won't feel it much - you'll be pulling about 200 rpm's less at cruising speed

Guns - the car will be slower [accalerion wise] and my speedo will be off.... tho better gas mileage, I assue?

speedo shouldn't be effected IIRC, but 235/50-16s would be a better fit IMO... especially with the sachs kit...

Sorry, I never saw them on the car - I sold them and went with 19s...Perhaps check out Cardomain.com to see if others have gone down this path...

What's on your car now - 15s? A 235/50-16 (mentioned elsewhere) is a funny size.

I don't know the E34 well enough, but would a 245/45-16 fit? It's closer to stock than the 235/60-16...

I have 17x8 f, 17x9 rear w/ 234/45 and 255/40 respectivly, which are pretty much sold.
I want to go w/ 16s for pothole absorbion in NYC; a compromise between the 15 and 17s.

I was told by highly respected (by me) E34 sources that E38 wheels w/ 23mm off-set and the taller tire will cause rubbing. Oh well.
