OK, I hope this doesn't sound too newbie'ish but can anyone who has any of these explain the pros/cons of the different types for me? Also if it's CF I can't get rock chips anymore right and I don't paint it? I already had my hood redone once. I'd like a perm solution.

C/F hoods are used because its lighter and if weaved correctly and done correctly it is pretty damn strong on top of that its light.. all it is really is C/F weaved in a honey comb type of style, then laminated.. u dont need to paint it but u can still have it painted if u wish.. u dont get paint chips if u dont have it painted, but from wat i heard there is times if its a poor construction u can see the laminating start to chip or even the strength of it starts to weaken.. just depends how well the C/F are constructed if u want the best.
