I want to thank the Bimmerforums staff - those that maintain and run this fine site - for allowing the DTM Power New England guys a place to congregate and use as their own in our site's downtime. Thanks to you we had a place to continue our jest, cameraderie, and fine fellowship! This is being posted because I do not want anyone to take BF'C's accomodation for granted, and it is proper social form to thank the host after an extended stay. So thanks again, guys. You rock.

Your thanks are much appreciated... nice to see you guys here. If there is anything we can do to make your visits here better, let one of us know. We'll do what we can... :alright

Mike, Kevin, you guys know that I am actually going nowhere. I have been a member and supporter of BF.C since the beginning and will be to the end. But we all know that my home site is in a state of considerable disrepair, an unfortunate fact that necessitates my full attention, and the attention of the others who will not allow it to fall into utter ruin.

If the guys prefer this layout to DTM, by all means let us move the party here permanently. My honest fear is that we can get a little out of control with the OT topics, and I would hate to run afoul of Bimmerforum's rules. We are bawdy, and can be a coarse bunch at times. I wouldn't want to sully the excellent opinion people may - or may not, as already seen - have of me with the truth. :D

Thanks and Goodbye.

DTM has been my home since like 2000 and will remain so....Home is where your heart is.

in technical terms what exactly happened to DTM? And there weren't any backups?

The sad story is that the hosting company went bankrupt and closed its doors in the middle of the night. They couldn't access the hard drives until recently, and now finally the site is up. It was a total clown show.

I'm gonna stick around here a bit too. But I agree with Chris. We do get out of control a lot of the times, and I do not want to upset anyone here at Bimmerforums.com. I also want to thank everyone for letting all of us come in here and hang out.

THANKS! :D
