My primary concern is parking lot security (I'm towing a light trailer). Anyone have hotel/motel recommendations? Jon325i 07-02-2004, 07:05 PM For T-Hill, there's 2 or 3 "Motel-6-ish" like places just a few miles from the track.....right next to I-5 in fact. Don't know about the cost since I've never stayed there personally, but I've seen RVs with race cars in tow in the parking lot. That's all there really is there. Its pretty much out in the middle of nowhere. For Infineon, you have Vallejo and Novato near by (Novato being closer). These are cities with several options as far as overnight accomodations and eateries are concerned. You shouldn't have a problem finding a suitable place at either of these. Hope this helps. Humboldt Avenue Willows, CA. 95988 (530) 934-4603 Check with the group you are running with, sometimes they arrange better rates with the local motels. -John Phantom 07-02-2004, 08:14 PM Thanks! badmonkey 07-02-2004, 08:19 PM No problem :) Try this link for more options: http://www.thunderhill.com/lodging.html Phantom 07-03-2004, 12:48 AM C'mon, now, you KNOW I wouldn't waste your time by not doing a search myself before asking you guys, right?? Before starting this thread I visited the tracks' websites, including that page, checked out the website photos, and compared the rates for all those motels. Unfortunately, none of the motel websites show photos of the parking layout or security arrangements, so I decided to ask you guys who had been there previously for your inputs. I'm doing a combination of car and bike trackdays and, unfortunately, the towing arrangement I'm using (posted below) can sometimes draw unfavorable attention of the larcenous variety, know what I mean? badmonkey 07-03-2004, 12:58 AM Golden Pheasant is a single-story layout, parking in front of the units. Should be a problem being able to park in front of your unit. No doubt your bike is locked to the trailer, and the trailer has a locking hitch? I wouldn't worry. . Phantom 07-03-2004, 01:08 AM Cool. And I still need to thank you for that link. :devillook xiaonjohn 07-04-2004, 01:54 PM for sears point you can go to petaluma, about 5-10 minutes away. there is a sheraton hotel there, its pritty nice and they have a security guard in the parking lot |
