I have a 93 318is, when I started it up this morning it was idling rough for about 30 seconds. I shut it off ond checked the engine codes. This where I get confused, Code 1286 came up so I went and checked the Bonneville fault codes on the net and the code is for Knock Control test pulse, but only on DME version 3 computers which were on 325's, 525's and M3's. There is no code for 1286 on the version that I have. Is it possiblr that my computer was swapped before I bought the car (last year)?
Any help is appreciated.
After I started the car again it ran fine but the code would still show up when I checked again.

Could this have been caused by a tank of bad gas??
