My wife just got a 2001 X5 3.0 which she loves. The only thing is that she really likes the sport steering wheel.

When I bought my 325 the first thing I did (ok second) was install an M3 steering wheel. So I have a sport steering wheel sitting in my garage. Does anyone know if the sport steering wheel from an E46 is the same as on the X5? I know I'll need to get an airbag but I'm just curious about the wheel itself.

Yep the sport steering wheel should fit the X5 as many X5 owner have replaced their sport sterring wheel with M3/M5 steering wheels :) ...
