Whats up guys - I have a SG/Black E46 M3 and I have a few things to go over - starting from buttom to top.

my brother bought an MTX 9500, and the rubber sidewall of the amp started coming off.. like unglued, well he was going out of town that weekend.. so he just bought some new subs (JL W6V2s) and theyre great. I have the option of - A) sending back the sub and getting it fixed for $150 (if i still can, he apparently i can) - b) getting a new system, and not using old/refurbed items.

now.. just like anyone else, I want deep, clear, and loud bass.. but not so loud where I can be heard from two blocks away.. or just rattle the lights out of my trunk - another problem, I have a rear strut bar from rotora.. so its going to be hard to stick a box in there.. I figured i'd go with this -

(1) JL W7
(1) 500/1 AMP
(1) good capacitor

I don't wanna spend over $900-1100 if possible - that includes a box and wiring.

Let me know guys,
Andrew :eyecrazy:

www.respl.com theres your first step... these subs are amazing and the reviews i read at www.caraudio.com are off the hook .....i bought two 12" HCs and only ended up using one in a ported box and it sounds insane. As for a box theres a guy on there that can make you up a custom box for whatever your needs are. If you want to go with a W7 which is a very over priced subwoofer to begin with you should look into REs XXX which is compared to the W7 but a lot cheaper. As for the amp, your probably going to need a bigger one to get the most out of a W7 to begin with. I have 1000 watts going to one 12" sub (RE HC). If you want a serious system thats gonna sound right you need to do a little research. You might as well seeing that it's going in a high end car to begin with.....no sense on driving around a vehicle like that with a shitty stereo ;) So just check out www.caraudio.com - forums and theres plenty of info and wonderful people that can help you out..Good Luck!!!!

.. a single Phoenix gold Ti 12 with a Ti 600.2 would sound great, and def. compliment the looks of your car... not to mention getting it new off eBay would cost under $500.

.. forget about the cap, you shouldn't need it.
