Since dtmpower is still down for me, are there any caravans heading up on Thursday July 1st for B'Fest east?

our caravan starts in albany and goes west to buffalo and then down the pittsburg. Where are you located?

He's in the NYC area.

Unfortunately, I cannot lead the caravan out as I need to be there the day before to set things up. Not to mention I'm flying out there. LOL!

Contact onrailsM3 (matt) as I know for a fact he is driving out Thursday since he's tracking on Friday.

Okay..I'm down. Leaving around 6-ish would be cool for me. I'll be in Teaneck, in Bergen County...I'm right off of 80. Anyone else like to meet? We can meet at my father's house and head off in a caravan from there.

If you leave at 6pm, you will crawl for an hour and arrive there by Midnight. I would rather check in at 6, eat dinner and relax before the track day so I can be focused on the event, not tired and distracted.

Anyone want to head out earlier? 10-11 AM would be ideal for me.

If not, see ya all there.

Just remember, points don't reciprocate back to NY, so 90-100 is doable.

God bless my V1.

definitely God Bless the V1.

Matt- are you sure PA's points dont get back to NY? I've heard all different answers to that and not even the police can give me a straight one.

I've PM'ed the guys wanting to leave around the same time as me.

I'll be watching the track event but I wont be driving in it so I'm not concerned with a max amount of sleep.

From what I understand, if you just pay the fine there are no points. Proof below.

From the NY DMV Site http://www.nydmv.state.ny.us/dmvfaqs.htm#tickets
If I get a ticket for a moving violation in another state, do I receive points on my NYS driver license?

The NYSDMV does not record out-of-state violations committed by NYS drivers in other jurisdictions. The exceptions are alcohol-related violations, drug-related violations, and moving violations committed in Quebec or Ontario. Under special agreements, traffic convictions in Quebec or Ontario are recorded on NYS driver license records and carry points. Except for violations in Ontario and Quebec, points are not added to your NYS record for out-of-state violations.

If you do not respond to a ticket or fail to pay a fine for a moving violation that you committed in any state except Alaska, California, Michigan, Montana, Oregon or Wisconsin, the DMV suspends your NYS driver license until you respond to the ticket or pay the fine. If a driver from a state except these six states fails to respond to a traffic ticket issued in NYS, their driver license will be suspended until the driver responds to the traffic ticket in NYS.

Hmm, that second quote is rather strange and confusing. I have an outstanding ticket in PA for the past 3-4 years (it's been so long I can't even remember) and my NYS license is perfectly fine.

Anyways, see you guys this weekend! (if I'm not going out of my mind, that is)

Get in touch with Dado/Dustin if you want to roll with them.

Car is in shop repairing a vacuum leak that is causing stumbling around 200-2500 rpm. Hopefully will be done by 6pm leave time on thursday. Anyone want to meet in Teaneck NJ (just off Route 80) around 6 to head out?
