Okay now before you guys start telling me what a slow car it is and how ugly the car looks or even tell me its comparableto the Honda CRV. I got this X3 with some cool accesories that def change the whole look of the vehicle. Now with the money I saved on this car instead of getting the X5 I think I am going to make this one very unique X3. First I ordered it with the Aero package kit which is a steep $4500 but it will change the whole exterior appearance of the X3.Also I had to get the exhaust system and the Xenon headlights as well. Also I decided on the panarama sunroof and the exterior color is the mystic blue.To give you guys a example of what it will look like check these pics out here and tell me what you guys think, oh if you want pics of mine that will take time because the vehicle won't be in my driveway til late August or early september since its in production. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=224554

Thanks man and if anyone could help me out on wheels sizes for the car that would be great.I am guessing I could fit a 22 inch wheel and tire on the car but im not even sure of the bolt pattern yet.Any help with this is welcome .

Congrats man, the aero kit looks sweet. I'm trying to find the bolt pattern on the X3 from some different sources. If i pass by a dealership or something i'll go find out.

I have seen an X3 with an Aero Package up at Sterling BMW while I was up there on a dealer trade and the car actually looked good!!! You will be VERY happy with it. The change is like going from a stock e36 with grey bumpers to a full m tech package. Well worth the money imho.

As far as bolt patterns, I believe that it is the same as the E36/E46, but I think it may have a different offset.

I just wanted to say thanks for the help and the surprisingly positive feedback I am getting from people I definetly was not expecting this. It's making me feel alot better about getting it because I was definetly more then a little unsure at first.

bolt pattern: 5x120
offset (stock wheel): 46MM

Traded in our 2003 325i for the X3 3.0 and have not regretted it in the least. Very nice car.

One thing that seems to be popping up on a few forums is noise coming from the door seals. On our X3, a ticking noise could be heard from the top of the driver's front door. I waxed around the door frame, where the seal makes contact, and the problem has gone away. Others have reported that dealers have tried to treat the door seals, themselves, that seems to be a high maintenance fix that will require period retreatment by the dealer, so I opted for a home based remedy.

So can x5 wheels go on the x3 ? I imagine the load rating for an x3 would be less and you could probally run many car wheels based on the pay load being less. Just tinking out loud.

I'd love to see one slammed on 20s !

You won't regret it. I just got an X3 3.0 for my wife and we love it. It is BlackSapphire Met. I wanted a dark color to blend in with those questionable bumpers. I am happy to add the car to my garage. It looks great next to my Topaz Blue 325Ci.
