hey were your taillights white/red before or did they have amber

they were white/red, yeah i know, it wasnt too bright paying extra $ to get clear rather than amber and then turning around and painting them black. but actually they were already on the car when i bought it.
And about the fronts being too dark, i saw a pic on someones sig once with a black e36 at dusk (low light) with the front corners completely black and i thought it looked SWEET! It almost gives it a seamless transition to the front bumper.
The paint that i used was Pactra Racing Finish, #RC294 window tint paint for R/C cars. it is the polycarbonate.

http://www.3arabiyim3adali.com/site/albums/album05/DCP_1230.jpg Tamir, I don't know what you are smoking but Glenn's car looks absolutely nothing like that. I think the black flows much better with the car. That guy has altezzas on the back how can you even compare?

I just don't like the idea of *black smoking* the headlights... and unfortuantly I'm not a smoker ...

May be I chose a bad example, but when I first seen youvebeensmoked's car, for some reason I rememberd the other one...they are both adding blackness cover to the design.

Well to those that liked liked it, thanks. To all that didnt, sorry i cant do anything right! screw-up, screw-up, screw-up, thats all i ever do!!!! :eyecrazy: oh sorry, im better. :) oh and as far as tasmiser goes, im still not too sure as to what in the hell he was even trying to say, but hey im all for helping the handicapped, so its cool.
hamanncheese: thanx bro, glad you liked them! I only did about three good coats then two clear coats over the top of it.
clumpymold: yeah the grills are painted, the picture came out a little odd, they dont look as flat in real life. or at least i didnt think they did.

and you dont have to go as dark as i did with the paint, i only did it because my car is black so i thought it would look better that way. the paint is very inexpensive and very forgiving, just remember, if you screw up, a little paint thinner and you are back to where you started.
ill try and post some pics of the blinkers turned on tonight, they light up very amber they are still very visible when lit up

If you didn't conclude that I don't like them, you might be the one who needs help, and wether I like it or not, this shouldn't bother you cause that's just my opinion.

peace.

VHT Spray Paints makes a product called Nite Shades. It sprays on black over plastic lenses but it lets light shine out. Pretty cool stuff. Their part number is SP-999, it is about $5 a can.

From a Honda guy's point of view...
I think the rear looks pretty good but the front is a bit too dark. In fact, it may be dangerous because there are idiots on the street who can only see amber signals -_-. But then, you did a much better job then my neighbor did. She tinted her WHOLE e36 altezza taillight black and it looks...=\
