ummmmm Golden Lake, 1 hour or so outside of Ottawa. Beer and water activities.

Oh and Grand Bend and Wasaga on long weekends :)

I like grand bend, a little far though. My cottage is in Meaford andot 1/2 hour to 40 mins from Wasaga. I can actually hop in the boat and cruise down on a nice day. It takes about 1/2 hour on the water, uses a crapload of gas though.

Hastings St in Vancouver is always a surefire winner as well...

Don't know Vancouver at all despite having been there twice in the last 4 years.
Once for funeral, once for Skiing @ Whistler.

There's only 2 streets to really know, Robson for the shopping / dining & Hastings for the "combustables"... :D
