From what I've seen over time CF hoods loose their finish and become rough/unsightly. its as if they lost their clear coating or protective layer and its bare CF. Is there any way to protect against this?

Its clearcoated or has a hard polymer resin just like any other surface, right?

Klasse AIO + SG would be just fine I'd think.
