I think this looks MUCH better. It's some aero package that you can order for the X3. I don't know about you guys but I think this looks really good. What do you think?

thats how it should have been first introduced

i wonder what bmw was thinking with the gray rocker panels like they had on the early e36s...all it does it look bad and date the older models when they inevitably take it off

this is better, but I think it should be standard and not part of a package...interesting how quickly bmw did get it out though, makes me wonder if sales were hurt by the gray panels

I think they put the plastic panels on it in order to aim it towards their target market, to make it seem more like an "offroad" vehicle even though nobody will ever take a BMW offroad. I seriously think that should come standard too.

I drove one of those at a BMW Driving thing a while back. It felt heavy and sluggish. Good control for an SUV, crap for a 3 series.

I still think its one of the ugliest bmw's made.

X5 is nicer but those are the first pictures i've seen of the X3 which actually makes the car look decent. The matching bumper does look sweet.

I had mine offroad a week after I got it. I might as well have been in a car. It was damn near useless. It prolly wouldnt be too bad with different tires, but stock it didnt work too well. Its only a car, just because its a BMW I am not going to baby it.
